The following was originally published by Baylor University:

In preparation for Move-In 2016 on Wednesday and Thursday, Baylor University will CLOSE some campus parking lots and interior streets beginning at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16, and will change traffic patterns during the morning Wednesday, Aug. 17, and Thursday, Aug. 18. All affected lots and streets are listed below.

All cars that have not been moved will be towed to the Ferrell Center Parking Lot. It is the owner’s responsibility to confirm any perceived exemption/exception from towing. Please contact parking services at 254-710-PARK (7275).

PARKING LOT CLOSURES FOR TUESDAY, AUG. 16 – WEDNESDAY, AUG. 17

The parking lots listed below will be closed from 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16, through noon Wednesday, Aug. 17:

    ·           Allen-Dawson Halls (across 8th Street)

    ·           Kokernot Hall (from the drive behind Brooks Flats through to Dutton Avenue)

    ·           Speight Avenue between 7th and 8th streets (both sides)

    ·           All street parking on 3rd, 4th and 7th streets

    ·           South and North Russell Hall

PARKING LOT CLOSURES FOR WEDNESDAY, AUG. 17 – THURSDAY, AUG. 18

The parking lots listed below will be closed from 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17, through noon Thursday, Aug. 18:

    ·           Collins Hall (back lot)

    ·           Speight Avenue between 7th and 8th (both sides)

    ·           Kokernot Hall (from the drive behind Brooks Flats through to Dutton Avenue)

    ·           Baylor Avenue from 7th to 8th streets (both sides)

    ·           Wiethorn Visitors Center Parking Lot

    ·           All street parking on 3rd, 4th and 7th streets

    ·           M.P. Daniel between 5th and 7th streets

    Traffic Pattern Changes/I-35 Exit Closures

Baylor will redirect traffic patterns from 7:30 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Aug. 17, and Thursday, Aug. 18, to help facilitate the move-in process. Please plan an alternate route to your destination on either day. The enclosed traffic pattern map will help you.

Please note that all traffic on 8th, 5th, 4th and 3rd streets will flow FROM Speight Avenue TOWARD I-35.

The I-35 exits at 4th/5th Streets and University Parks Drive remain closed, so traffic is expected to be heavier than normal between 8 a.m. and noon on both days.

Thank you for your help in making Move-In Day a success for our returning and incoming students.

More information about Move-In can be found at www.baylor.edu/move2bu
