Grammy award-winning Christian rapper Lecrae will perform in Waco Hall at 7 p.m. on Oct. 2, according to an announcement from Baylor Student Activities on Sunday.

Tickets for the concert are on sale now through the student activities online box office and are expected to be available through the Bill Daniels Student Center box office starting tomorrow. Students can choose between floor seats for $35 or balcony seating for $25.

Lecrae is one of the most awarded Christian hip-hop artists ever. Over his decade-long career, Lecrae has won recognition from BET, Billboard and the Gospel Music Association.

At the 2013 Grammy Awards, Lecrae won Best Gospel Album for his sixth studio album, “Gravity.” He followed it up in 2015 with a win in Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance for his song, “Messengers.”

Most recently, Lecrae released the album, “Anomaly” in September 2014. The album became the first to rank No. 1 on both the Billboard Top 200 and Gospel Albums lists. Rolling Stone magazine named “Anomaly” the 12th best rap album of 2014.

Lecrae is in the middle of a national tour that will take him to Kansas, Florida and North Carolina over the next two weeks. He will stop at Baylor the night before performing at the State Fair of Texas in Dallas on Oct. 3.
