Competitive cheer takes individual event title at nationals

Competing at the inaugural National Collegiate and Acrobatic Tumbling Association National Championships, Baylor locked up its first-ever national title. The team won the 5-element stunt title and took second place in both the pyramid and ariel tumbling events. The Bears, competing in Eugene, Ore., lost in the semifinals round of the overall title battle to eventual champion Oregon, but came back to compete in the six of twelve possible events that the team qualified in.
