Highlighting early learning, family support and community involvement, United Way of Waco’s annual Week of the Young Child is giving Baylor students the opportunity to reflect on what it means for a city to uplift its youngest residents.

Baylor’s 2025 United Way Campaign celebrates 100 years of United Way of Waco-McLennan County giving back to the McLennan County community. To celebrate and honor this accomplishment, the name for Baylor’s campaign this year is “100 for 100!” and the goal is to raise $100,000 among the Baylor community.
With spring break right around the corner, many students are scrambling to make plans for that one precious week without school. This year, a unique alternative from the usual cruises, lake houses and festivals has presented itself in MTV and United Way’s Spring Fix.
MTV, the music television channel, has partnered with United Way and mtvU, the 24-hour college channel, to organize an alternative spring break for students who wish to spend their break in a philanthropic way.
For the second year running, the Internal Revenue Service is sponsoring a program called Volunteer Income Tax Assistance, or VITA for short.
Student government is sponsoring a fundraiser to support United Way of Waco-McLennan County.
One of Baylor’s own will soon take on the role of campaign chair for United Way of Waco-McLennan County.
