After being tied 2-2 through the first four innings of Tuesday night’s matchup against UT Arlington, Baylor swung the door open with a three-run fifth to take the midweek game 5-2.

Baylor’s offense put up 16 runs in a commanding victory over Incarnate Word to get back in the win column.
Tarleton State came back and beat Baylor on a two-run seventh inning. The loss marks the third straight for the Bears after dropping their final two games at the Bruce Bolt College Classic.
Baylor earned its first ranked win of the season in an extra-inning thriller against No. 25 Ole Miss. The victory is the eighth ranked win in the Mitch Thompson era and proved to be the Bears’ highlight of the Bruce Bolt College Classic.
Baylor left Round Rock with a disappointing 0-3 record this weekend. While the Bears did not perform like they hoped, they remain confident and are looking to bounce back.
In what was a back-and-forth contest, freshman outfielder Brady Janusek stole home in the eighth inning, which was the deciding factor in a 9-8 victory for Baylor over Stephen F. Austin on Tuesday night.
Tyce Armstrong made history in his Baylor debut, becoming the second player in college baseball history to launch three grand slams in a game. Before that, he was a thorn in the Bears’ side at UT Arlington.
Baylor separated from Texas State by bringing in four runs on five wild pitches in the bottom of the sixth. The Bears rolled past 10 Bobcat pitchers in their 14-4 victory.
