Students were eager to explore their options at the Study Abroad Fair on Tuesday during Dr Pepper Hour in the Bill Daniel Student Center, where representatives showcased a variety of international programs designed to broaden academic and cultural horizons. The event provided attendees with information on destinations, scholarships and immersive experiences, and it encouraged students to take their education beyond the classroom.

“Certain programs will offer classes that fit certain majors,” Whitlark said. “They’re like the one I do. We offer BIC courses, Great Texts courses and religion courses. So, if you’re looking for credits in those areas or you’re interested in those classes that we’re leading in, [choosing our program] is a great opportunity.”

Students walking through the SUB’s Barfield Drawing Room today for their weekly Dr Pepper float will find the room full of booths representing Baylor study abroad opportunities.

There will be more than 80 programs featured in the 2012 Fall Study Abroad Fair sponsored by the Center for International Education. It will be held in conjunction with the Dr Pepper Hour from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Barfield Drawing Room.
