Of the many clubs Baylor has to offer, Aikijujutsu Club is the only one of its kind. This modern Japanese, comprehensive martial art focuses on blending an opponent’s energy and redirecting it with fluid, graceful movements, turning conflict into harmony.

The DA’s office dropped the charges against Scott and Nichols because they concluded that doing so would ensure justice. Rather than aiming for convictions, they saw the case as an act of “self-defense and defense of others,” committing to the proper application of the law.
A group of Baylor women now have the skills and the knowledge to stay safe and fight back.
The Women’s Safety Workshop, held Wednesday in the Bill Daniel Student Center, taught safety measures ranging from how to hold their keys when walking toward their cars, to holding off an attacker in a series of defense moves.
