Freshman outside hitter Ksenia Rakhmanchik set a season-high with 32 kills in No. 6 Baylor volleyball’s first-round NCAA Tournament win over Arkansas State. Rakhmanchik continued her recent tear following a 28-kill performance in the regular season finale.

No. 22 Baylor volleyball was selected to its 10th straight NCAA Tournament appearance, all under head coach Ryan McGuyre. The Bears are set to take on Arkansas State as the No. 6 seed in the lower-left quadrant of the bracket.

For the fifth time in Baylor volleyball head coach Ryan McGuyre’s 10-year tenure, the Bears are set to host the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament in the Ferrell Center.

The Bears failed to reach at least the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2018.

The No. 23 Bears will play the winner of No. 2 seed Kentucky and Wofford at 6 p.m. on Saturday.

The Bears, who earned an at-large bid on Sunday, will play No. 7 seed James Madison on Thursday.
