Baylor’s Model United Nations team represented Switzerland at the 2025 National Model United Nations, New York Week B Conference last month and took home the highest possible distinction — Outstanding Delegation. The team, made up of 16 undergraduate students, created resolutions to global issues with the help of research and effective public speaking.

Late-night meetings, fiery debates and resolution writing are just a few of the demanding tasks required of the members of Baylor’s Model United Nations team. The class and club, which has been a part of Baylor since 1989, meets each Monday to focus on global issues.
Baylor students are actively applying their knowledge of politics and world organizations to simulations.
Seven students participated in the inaugural Howard Payne Model United Nations Security Council simulation this past weekend as part of Baylor United Nations. The conference was held at Howard Payne University in Brownwood.
