Though they may be utilizing the library’s online Onesearch feature to find what they need from the library, towering shelves of books sit there just waiting for someone to come by and pluck out a book. So what purpose do these monographs – these physical copies — serve anymore?

A library is a hub filled with diverse voices, writing styles and stories. Through exploring all the options, children learn how to make sense of the world, its inhabitants and, most importantly, themselves.
Despite the copious number of students at the library, very few actually read the thousands of books in Baylor’s collection. Why? It could be because students have so much required reading material that they reserve little time to read for fun. However, the selection of books offered at campus libraries could be another explanation for the lack of readers on campus.
