On one hand, the prospects for seniors are as good as ever: with low unemployment across the country and a 92% success rate for Baylor graduates, some find that their dream job is just a few steps away. But for others, the job market is a heartless domain ruled by AI resume scanners, elusive recruiters and hundreds of dead-end applications.

Some women might even choose to not pursue a college career if they have a dream of being a mom and taking care of the home. This is not the path for everyone, just like being a doctor or pursuing any career is not for everyone. Women should be able to choose what is best for them without being viewed as dependent or old-fashioned.
“Personally, I have had to get a lot better at time management,” Griffin said. “I am very grateful for the flexibility with my schedule, but there are definitely a few times where I have gone straight from class to work, to chapter, then to supplemental instruction and top the night off with homework. In order to be a successful student, a good friend and take care of myself, I have to manage my time well.”
Jonathan Echols, director of marketing and communications for the Career Center, said making an appointment with one of the professionals at the Career Center is a great way to start the summer job hunt.
No matter the job, everyone should be able to put food on the table and pay rent. It’s a matter of dignity and humanity.
