Sunlight glistened through the stained-glass windows and bathed the Armstrong Browning Library in color as students, faculty and benefactors filled the Treasure Room Thursday afternoon to honor those who help preserve its stories and artwork.

In the most recent fiscal year ending in May, the advancement department raised $192 million. Over the last 10 years, the Give Light Campaign has raised over $1.5 billion towards campus improvements.
Baylor has unveiled the Extend the Line scholarship initiative, a campaign aiming to raise $250 million by 2030 to enhance student scholarships and ensure that a Baylor education remains accessible and affordable.
Nancy Logan, who is a Waco local, is part of the vast network of alumni-turned-donors who give back to Baylor in the form of scholarships or funds for departments.
The 2024 Baylor Giving Day raised more than $2.24 million from the Baylor Family on Tuesday to fund academic initiatives and student scholarships. Toby Barnett, associate vice president and campaign director for the Office of Advancement, said the Office of Advancement routinely works with alumni and parents, but anyone can be a donor.
After years of anticipation, the Mark and Paula Hurd Welcome Center — known as Baylor’s new “front door” — officially opened to the public Friday.
Assistant Vice President of Enrollment Management, Marketing and Recruitment Ross VanDyke said the exclusion of alumni or admissions in the title of the building is intentional. VanDyke said the building is meant to be a place for everyone in the community.
