If you’re looking for a vintage atmosphere and delicious food, this is your place. Jake’s Texas Tea House serves an array of dishes from burgers to ribs, but its crème de la crème are its pies. They come in a variety of flavors, from pecan to buttermilk, and will have you coming back for more. The restaurant has a gas station theme and features an array of vintage cars, signs and hubcaps within its dining area.

There are tons of options from Venezuelan food, pizza, sandwiches and more to sweet treats, juices and acai bowls galore. There’s truly something for any taste at Zilker Park.

Today, I drove down I-35 North, out of the Baylor Bubble, in search of a good burger. I didn’t want just any ol’ burger, though. I wanted a burger that would make my taste buds sing. I ended up at Dave’s Burger Barn, located at 600 N Patricia St.

While it’s true my tastes typically run toward exotic fare, I’ve got no beef with a good burger. If you’re looking for a quick and easy meal to reward yourself after a grueling day of class, sometimes a good, old-fashioned cheeseburger is just what you need. I visited five notable Waco burger joints to rate their food: Health Camp, Cupp’s Diner, Kitok’s, Dubl-R Burger and Dave’s Burger Barn.
