North Richland Hills senior Daniel Jones passed away this morning while competing in the Bearathon. Jones collapsed near the finish line and was treated on scene. Medical personnel transported him to Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center where he died an hour later.

Shell casings from a shootout with a white supremacist Colorado parolee in Texas are the same make and caliber as those found at the home of Colorado’s prison chief after he was killed.

The information comes from an application to search the wrecked car of Evan Spencer Ebel, who was killed in Thursday’s shootout with Texas law enforcement.

A Houston man has been accused of repeatedly raping an 11-year-old neighbor who became pregnant and gave birth this week.

Deandrea Devon Davis-Williams, 21, was arrested late Tuesday night and charged with continuous sexual abuse of a child. A judge tripled Davis-Williams’ original $50,000 bond on Thursday and set arraignment for April 23.

A Waco developer has bought the shuttered Lake Brazos Bar and Grill and says he plans to turn it into a destination restaurant, inspired by the construction of Baylor Stadium downstream.

Baylor softball will play the University of Texas from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday in Getterman Stadium.

Baylor’s Homecoming Parade is one of the university’s oldest and most beloved traditions. Every year, thousands of students, alumni and families line the streets of Waco to cheer on the floats that pass by. But behind the finished products lie months of hard work and dedication that many never see.

The Memorial, which was recommended by the Commission on Historical Campus Representations in 2020, addresses Baylor’s historical relationship with slavery. It recognizes the university’s construction through enslaved labor and Judge R.E.B. Baylor’s own possession of enslaved people, while continuing to acknowledge all parts of Baylor’s story.
