With October winding down and November soon to be upon us, it’s safe to say that the semester is flying by. We’re over halfway done, which might be either a source of relief to you or a harsh reality check. Either way, here’s some advice to keep in mind for the coming weeks.

“We are able to tell the truth about our history, where we come from, and where we might be going,” Garrett said. “And it feels to me like Professor Reddie coming this fall could be a really important piece of Baylor’s continuing to reckon with our slaveholding past with racism and with the idea of repair and how we might move forward together.”

“There’s just one race, the human race. And that race is multiple, diverse, varied and concrete, yet one,” Copeland said.

Following almost 10 hours of deliberation across two days, a federal jury awarded former Baylor student Dolores Lozano $270,000 for her negligence claims against the university. Although the jury found that Baylor had also committed Title IX violations, it didn’t award her any money for those claims.
