After the recent release of “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” on Disney+, kids and adults alike have returned to Camp Half-Blood and reentered their “demigod” phase. The excitement has even reached central Texas, with Waco Civic Theater’s production of “The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical” telling the classic story with a fun, musical twist.

Micheal O’Siadhail calls himself an Irish poet, but it only takes one look at his biography to realize the full depth of his artistry. One of those insights is his new poetry book, “Desire,” which retells his experiences and wisdom of living through the COVID-19 pandemic and climate change.

Baylor’s African Student Association hosted its annual Afrique showcase Saturday evening in Cashion Academic Center. The showcase was a representation of African culture on campus and included a fashion show, traditional African food, a DJ and competitions between guests.
