Some of the most beautiful parts of life can be found in film, literature, art or any other creative endeavor. Writing off an entire hobby because they’re “film bro interests” or any other pretentious label does more harm than good. You’re isolating yourself from an entirely new world to explore, all out of fear of standing out too much.
“As a Christian business school, we emphasize servant leadership a lot,” Mazumder said. “It’s about making sure we’re serving people and making the right decisions that are ethical.”
While the Waco Independent Film Festival hosts multiple events each year for film enthusiasts, they wanted to work with KWBU to create a space where the community of Waco could gather for the simple pleasure of enjoying a film. After the movie, everyone, no matter the background, could join in the conversation.
The question many Californians now have is how the state will rebuild and adapt for the next wildfire season. As of late, the wildfires have not been obeying the typical laws of nature. The wildfire season, which typically runs from May to October, has become more of a suggestion than a hard-set date.

Texas voters turned out in historic numbers Tuesday, delivering victories for State Rep. James Talarico and forcing a runoff between Attorney General Ken Paxton and incumbent Sen. John Cornyn in the state’s U.S. Senate contest that claimed national attention. The total early-voting turnout of more than 2.5 million marks the highest ever for a midterm primary election. The results also kicked off the 2026 midterm cycle.
