Since its founding in 1969, Student Foundation has operated around a simple mission: serving Baylor’s “past, present and future.” The organization’s four committees give students responsibilities ranging from alumni outreach and fundraising to student recruitment and campus programming.
Students can view “Aquí, Escuchar,” an exhibit by visual artist Rosemary Meza-DesPlas, for free at the Martin Museum of Art through Nov. 7. The exhibit, which preserves the artist’s own human hair, is an homage and commentary on ethnicity, identity and the aging of women.
Congressman Pete Sessions and businessman Ross Perot Jr. spoke Thursday at the Baylor Club for the Waco Chamber’s State of the Nation Luncheon. Both emphasized Texas’s importance, economic growth, and a bright future.

President Donald Trump has approved the execution by firing squad of Nidal Hasan, the former Army major convicted of killing 13 people in the 2009 Fort Hood mass shooting, with the execution scheduled for 1 p.m. Dec. 3 at the Central Texas military installation, roughly an hour from Baylor’s campus.
