The Bears will look to do something this weekend on the football field they have not done since 1939. That feat would be coming out of Stillwater, Okla. with a victory. The Bears (4-2, 1-2), will battle the No. 3 overall ranked Oklahoma State Cowboys (7-0, 4-0) at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, at Boone Pickens Stadium in Stillwater, Okla.

In six games this season, junior wide receiver Terrance Williams has already equaled his touchdown total from last season. He has four scores on the year and his 352 receiving yards this season has proved to him to be another weapon for junior quarterback Robert Griffin III and the already explosive Baylor offense.

If the rivalry wasn’t heated enough, throw in the conference realignment fiasco that took place in September. Kyle field threatens a hostile environment for Baylor, but the Bears are ready for the Aggies.

Current students – get your act together. It was simply embarrassing to see Floyd Casey Stadium last Saturday night on national television. For the past two decades, the Case was a place known for weeping and gnashing of teeth. We now have a winning team with star talent that is gaining national attention and favor.

Of course, College Gameday is in Dallas. If this rivalry does not get these teams fired up, then nothing will.

Saturday’s game against Kansas State should have looked very familiar for Baylor football. There was a late lead lost in the fourth quarter. Junior quarterback Robert Griffin III and senior receiver Kendall Wright were both putting up ridiculous numbers.

The Bears open Big 12 play on the road against a tough Kansas State squad.

Last Saturday, the Baylor defense stepped on the field for Rice’s second drive of the second half with the Bears leading 35-17. Despite the lead, the atmosphere in Floyd Casey Stadium was dead.
