I discovered that the key to having less mess is to simply have less stuff. As someone who was once accustomed to living in a space of total disarray, I have become someone who can’t stand a messy room — something I truly thought would never happen to me.

When do we start celebrating the most wonderful time of the year? Some people think to begin the day after Halloween, while others argue to wait until the day after Thanksgiving. So what is the right answer to this debate? Or is there one?

As college students, we are autonomous and capable of making the choice to answer a question or not. Taking away this decision reduces college students to a premature level simply because of a professor’s need to express superiority over his or her students.

What you can do, dear reader, is proudly announce your feminist identity because you support happiness for everyone. Support legislation, politicians and organizations that promote equality. Call out people who make negative jokes or statements that promote inequality. Your voice matters, and we can only achieve equality together.

Every Halloween, while everyone is out minding their own business, trick-or-treating and enjoying themselves, a certain group of people set out to ruin the fun for everyone. These people go out slandering an innocent candy that never hurt anyone, a classic candy that is beloved by all Halloweeners: candy corn.

This is so important to understand: I’m not arguing for you not to get vaccinated, as I am vaccinated of my own free will. But I am saying that the time has come for the vaccinated to stand with their fellow unvaccinated citizens in support of their medical freedom.

Juice cleanses are very popular and seem exciting, but they might not show the results they promise and they cost a lot of money. Are you drinking the juice to lose weight or to lose money?

YouTube has seen its fair share of drama and scandal over the years, and many content creators have become veterans of the infamous YouTuber apology. It’s time that creators be held accountable for their actions, just like any other mainstream celebrity would be, given the context.

At 5,000 feet up in the air, there are a lot of things going through your mind as you look down and notice the intensity of the world around you. How many things are happening in so many people’s lives in that exact moment? The idea of falling to your death is high on the list, but the vibrance of the sky and the way roads with hundreds of cars look insignificant are a close second. You wouldn’t know what life looked like from this high up if you didn’t put yourself in this position.

Yes, I am a part of that unlucky batch of about 13 million people in the United States who are afflicted by chronic migraine — a club that I wholeheartedly wish I was excluded from. Three neurologists, one MRI and a lot of blood work later and I have essentially no answers. All of my tests have come back normal, and I have been left with the extremely unsatisfying answer that some people “just have chronic migraine” — no cause, no cure.

Who would ever think a children’s movie could be so dark and twisted but have a feeling of comfort? To me, those dark and twisted words are comforting and the reason why I love Halloween.

You never know what someone is going through, so do something randomly nice for someone, even if it’s small; it could go a long way.
