Many hoped that Ben Platt, at the age of 28, could still fit the bill as Evan Hansen, a high school student, but he just missed the mark.
“We loved the atmosphere that Baylor brought to the community, and we already saw the support … so we are just excited to be able to bring Dutch Bros to Waco. We just want to be a place where anyone and everyone can come and have a good drink,” store operator Jackson Luckin said.

“We are so excited to perform our third place act, but about 90% of the people who performed in that act have graduated. Now we are currently just trying to recruit and gain awareness for Sing in the spring,” president of Sing Alliance, Josie Pooler, said.
“‘Pighearted’ is about a boy that has a fatal heart condition and [has] his best friend, the pig, with the heart that could save his life,” author Alex Perry said.
This album brings out LANY’s original sound along with hints from their previous album, “Mama’s Boy,” through their more acoustic songs to find a sense of equilibrium.
“Before the fire, it felt like Harvest was ours,” co-owner Toby Tull said. “Now, it definitely feels like it belongs to the community just because so many people played a part in getting us back open.”
“The best part was getting to dance on the dance floor in front of everyone like no one was watching. It was just a really cool event and I loved it,” Katy freshman Zoe Crouch said.
“It’s important for us to learn about emergencies. Going through these activities can help me because the knowledge is something I can always have with me for the rest of my life, and I can pass it forward to others,” Kelsick said.
Common Grounds halted its open mic night two years ago as the coffee shop went through company transitions. It’s officially back and Waco artists are more eager than ever to perform on the famous backyard stage.
