Art on Elm: Art on Elm is a free pop-up art exhibition on historic Elm Avenue featuring local artists, musicians, craft and food vendors and children’s activities. 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at Art Place in historic East Waco, 418 Elm Avenue (from Dallas Street to Sherman Street)
Stompfest: Baylor’s annual all-university step show, a unique collaboration between the Nu Iota chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. and the Department of Student Activities. Tickets are $10. 7:20 p.m. at Waco Hall, 502 Speight Ave.
Navy Southwest Band Performance: The 32nd Street Brass Band will perform styles of jazz, funk, dixieland and R&B for homecoming ship arrivals. Performance included in zoo admission. 10 a.m. at Cameron Park Zoo, 1701 N 4th St.
McLane Stadium Tours: A 90 minute guided tour of the stadium with stops in featured areas such as the Baylor locker room, President’s Suite, on the field and more. Two tours available at noon and 3 pm. $10, McLane Stadium, 1001 S. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd.
Elephant Serenade: Navy Band Southwest’s Woodwind Quintet will perform a serenade for the elephants at the Cameron Park Zoo. This ensemble blends the individual sounds of the flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon and saxophone to create a highly eclectic sonic palette. Performance included in zoo admission. 2 p.m. at Cameron Park Zoo, 1701 N 4th St.
McLennan Community College Theatre: “La Fille du Régiment” is a hilarious two-act Comic Opera that takes place in the early nineteenth century during one of the Napoleonic Wars in the Swiss Tyrol. The story centers around Marie, a young girl, found as a baby by France’s 21st Regiment. The regiment lovingly raises her as their daughter. The production will be a condensed version in English. It is appropriate for children in grades 7 and up. $12, 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday at Ball Performing Arts Center at MCC, 1400 College Dr.

Baylor Invitational: Bears host 13 teams at their first of three home track meets this season. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for youth, ages 2–17. Baylor students get in free with ID. 10 a.m. at Clyde Hart Track & Field Stadium, 1601 S Martin Luther King Jr Blvd.
VeteRUN 5K: The Veterans One Stop VeteRUN 5K and VeteWalk 1K are raising money and awareness for the veteran community while celebrating Navy Week 2018. There will be a photo booth, music and more before the run and prizes, a performance by the Navy Band, yard games, food trucks and coffee after. Check in begins at 7 a.m. at Heritage Square, Third Street and Austin Avenue
Heart of Texas Air Show: One of the top three air shows in Texas takes to the skies April 7 and 8 with the U.S. Navy Blue Angels for the first time in over 30 years and their only performance in Central and North Texas in 2018. Gates open 9:00 a.m. through 6:00 p.m. Tickets available online at www.heartoftexasairshow.com/HOTtickets.
Waco Downtown Farmers Market: A variety of vendors featuring the best local agricultural producers and artisan vendors within 150-miles of Waco. 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. at 500 Washington Ave.
Common Grounds Concert: More than Sparrows to perform with Brandon Williams and Carli Rude. Tickets are $7 in advance and $10 at the door. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. at Common Grounds, 1123 S 8th St.
Waco Downtown History Walk: The Waco Downtown History Walk is great way to kick off your visit to Waco or to get to know your hometown. We’ll cover Waco history highlights sprinkled with a few legends and lies. Waco’s history is a little rowdy, so the tour is very slightly PG rated. Approximately 2.5 hour narrated walk. Suggested donation $20, cash or checks preferred.
Breakfast and a Movie: Madagascar is coming to the Hippodrome for the weekend and we’re having a breakfast pajama party! Our brunch menu + a cereal bar ($5) will be available. $3, 10 a.m. at Waco Hippodrome, 724 Austin Ave.

Rocky Horror Picture Show Shadow Cast: The Waco Hippodrome and the Waco Civic Theatre would like to take you on a strange journey. A newly engaged couple have a breakdown in an isolated area and must pay a call to the bizarre residence of Dr. Frank-N-Furter. Annual Juried Student Exhibition: Features artwork completed during the previous year by Baylor students in studio art classes. Runs through April 15. Hours are 10 a.m. — 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. — 4 p.m. on Saturday, and 1 p.m. — 4 p.m. on Sunday at The Martin Museum of Art in the Hooper-Schaefer Fine Arts Center, 60 Baylor Ave.
