(Partial) Solar Eclipse

Waco will be experiencing a partial solar eclipse with 70% of the sun being covered from 11:40 a.m. to 2:39 p.m. The maximum coverage will be at 1:10 p.m., but you will need special eyewear to view this event that won’t happen again until April 20, 2024. Dr. Trey Cade, assistant research professor and director of the Baylor Institute for Air Science, gives advice for the best way to view the solar eclipse in Waco. Click here for more information.
“What the Health” showing

As a part of its Independent Movie Mondays, the Waco Hippodrome will be showing What the Health at 7 p.m. The documentary uncovers large health secrets and how several organizations are working to keep them hidden from the public. Mosaic Mixer
Location: Barfield Drawing Room | Cost: Free | Time: 6:30 p.m.
The Department of Multicultural Affairs will begin Mosaic Week with Mosaic Mixer at 6:30 p.m. in the Bill Daniel Student Center courtyard. There will be a live DJ, free food for the first 500 students and organizational booths set up for meet-and-greet. At 7 p.m., there will be a showcase to finish off the night.
Open Mic Night at Common Grounds

Every Wednesday night Common Grounds will open up their stage to performers from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. to present themselves and their art under Common Grounds canopy of string lights. This week’s featured artist will be Justin Philip Brooks.

Black Student Welcome

The Black Student Union at Baylor will present “House Party” as their Black Student Welcome for incoming black freshman. With an organization fair at the beginning, the purpose of the event is to show the support between each black student organization at Baylor.
Welcome Back ’80s Party

Cricket’s Drafthouse and Grill will be hosting a free Welcome Back ’80s Party. From 10 p.m. to 2 a.m., Cricket’s will be filled with ’80s dance music and costume contests for singles and couples.
