EL PASO, Texas — The campus of the University of Texas at El Paso is being evacuated because of a bomb threat.
Few details were immediately available Tuesday but a university text sent to students and staff said, “The university has a bomb threat please evacuate the university campus.”
The message was sent about 2 p.m.
Campus spokesman Chris Lechuga told the El Paso Times that, “There is a threat and we are asking everybody to evacuate.”
He would not specify the threat.
A student told the Times that police were swarming the school.
