The Big 12 Conference announced today that Baylor will host the 2013 Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Baylor has hosted the championships three times, in 1997, 1999 and 2006.

The decision, along with that concerning host schools and sites for 12 other championships, will face a final vote of approval by the conference’s board of directors. The championships’ sites have already been approved by the member institutions’ athletic directors.
