“For us in particular, this event is a really good community event,” Dr. Matt Quade, associate dean for values-based leadership and director of the Center for Christian Leadership and Ethics, said. “It allows us to gather together, not just with students, but faculty and staff, all gathering together. We can come together within the business school, just for an hour each semester, and spend some time together in prayer and worship.”

“In a way, it’s not a typical service where you have a straightforward worship leader and somebody guiding the entire service,” Wylie sophomore Aaron Cash said. “We do have structure to kind of just keep us going, but really it’s a space for people to come and worship together and to bring their own songs.”

On Feb. 4, Moody Library will host the third meeting of its Meet the Author series. This time, the event will feature Dr. Terry York, a retired Baylor music professor, who will discuss his book, “Kurt Kaiser: Icon and Conscience of Contemporary Christian Music,” which dives into the composer’s story. During the discussion, York will be interviewed by Robert Darden, a former journalism professor, about Kaiser’s lasting impact on church music.
