In honor of Women’s History Month, the Tau Alpha Chapter of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity hosted “Tribute to a Black Woman,” celebrating the achievements, leadership and resilience of Black women within the university community. The evening was filled with moments of inspiration, discussion workshops and the recognition of women who have made a significant impact at the university.

This spring, Stanton is bringing his passion to a new generation of artists. Throughout March and April, he will hold a weekly introduction to stained glass class where students will learn how to create different suncatchers — ranging from hummingbirds to chickens, dragonflies to tulips. The classes, held on Saturdays from 2-5 p.m., cost $100 per session.

There are prehealth workshops like this throughout the semester. The next two are on March 3 and March 17. According to the registration page, the March 3 workshop will provide trail mix to “savor the admissions experience,” and the March 17 workshop is called “How to Be a One in a Melon Applicant” and will provide sour watermelon candies to students who attend.

“The main changes with the new form should be really helpful once they get all of the kinks worked out. The fact that parents and students can each file their own form with the Department of Education then connecting those together is really helpful,” Rounke said.

The space, formerly an axe house, is a complete manifestation of Corkill’s vision. From the beginning, Corkill knew he wanted a place he could call home to multiple types of art, from theater to music to ASL; he has now accomplished that in less than two months.
