The Office of the Provost hosted its annual Female Faculty breakfast Tuesday morning to honor the contributions of female faculty to Baylor’s culture.

When Dr. Mary Lauren Benton learned she’d been named a 2025 KEEN Rising Star, the recognition marked a defining moment for both her career and the growing network of women engineers at Baylor.
“It’s a place for discussion,” Aquino said. “It’s a place for mentorship. It’s a place for networking. Hopefully, the big picture goal or long-term goal is to advance the plight of women in academia and in STEM specifically.”
