Just over four years removed from securing his 900th career win overall, No. 24 Baylor softball head coach Glenn Moore found his 900th win with the Bears. The Bears crowned Moore thanks to a 2-1 victory over UTSA on Tuesday night at Roadrunner Field in San Antonio. The victory marked the 16th nonconference win out of the last 17, as only then-No. 21 Texas State found success against Baylor in that stretch.

Baylor volleyball won their last non-conference match of the year against University of Texas at San Antonio. The Bears won the match 3-1 (25-17, 26-24, 24-26, 25-20). With the win, the Bears moved to 8-8 on the season heading into Big 12 conference play and are at .500 for the first time this season.

Junior middle hitter Nicole Bardaji led Baylor with 16 kills and five blocks on a .243 hitting percentage. Bardaji hit double-digit kills for the first time on Saturday, and has now done it three straight times. Over those three matches, she is averaging 15.0 kills and 4.0 total blocks per match on a .303 hitting percentage.

The UTSA Roadrunners started the bottom of the first inning with a leadoff home run from senior outfielder Daniel Rockett to take an early 1-0 lead.

No. 3 Baylor baseball will take on the No. 25 New Mexico State Aggies tonight and Saturday. Both games of the two-game series will be at Baylor Ballpark, and the top 25 showdown should test both teams.

Baylor soccer looks to keep its undefeated streak alive this weekend as it travels to Kentucky for two games. Baylor (3-0-1) will face Louisville (1-1-1) tonight and Kentucky (3-0-0) on Sunday. Both games will be played at Cardinal Park in Louisville, Ky. Coach Marci Jobson said this will be her team’s biggest test of the season so far, as it will have to face a speedy Louisville squad and a Kentucky team that has not lost as well.

McGregor freshman Makenzie Robertson is able to go home when she pleases and sleep in her own bed, grab a meal more appetizing than she can find on campus and have her mom, the national coach of the year, do her laundry.

The No. 15 Lady Bears improved on their Big 12 record, now 7-3, as they swept the Kansas Jayhawks in a two-game series in Lawrence, Kan., last weekend.

Sunday at Baylor Ballpark handed the baseball team chilly weather and a chance to take the three game series against Kansas State. After the 21st ranked Bears rallied to grab a 4-3 win over the Wildcats, they move to 3-3 in conference play.

Selection Sunday brought record levels of eye-rolling and scoffing. Columnists complained and analysts agonized about a weaker-than-ever NCAA tournament field that included seven teams with at least 13 losses. The expanded tournament just meant more unworthy teams, the line of thinking went.
