The Bible is powerful. Saints have been slain and wars have been waged over its contents. The Bible itself describes the word of God as “living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword” (Hebrews 4:12). So why do we treat it like a textbook?
Professors should be cognitive of students’ time and try not to overload students with information or double up on topics.
The cost of textbooks should be included in the university’s tuition. Instead of making students feel as though they are paying an outside cost, they can use financial aid and scholarship money toward the costs of textbooks.
The Baylor Bookstore, the center of all things Baylor, remains the boon and the bane of most of the students that attend this school.
Not only can we get our textbooks and various school supplies there, we can get the latest young-adult fiction (Baylor appropriate, of course) for moderately unfair prices. We can get everything from day planners to the latest Apple products and accessories.
