From upsets over top-ranked teams to protecting home turf against conference foes, Baylor athletics has had another strong year. Even though both golf teams, softball, baseball and track and field are still competing as part of the 2022-2023 season, here’s a compilation of the best sports moments of the past year.

The women led the day for Baylor track and field, bringing home eight of the 10 wins for the Bears at the Michael Johnson Dr Pepper Classic on Saturday in Waco.
In a competitive field Saturday, the Baylor Bears again made a big impression. On Saturday, the Baylor track and field team traveled to Austin for the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relay.
Most students spent spring break lying out on the beach, skiing on the slopes or just finding some way to relax. Baylor track and field, however, spent the week preparing for and competing in their first outdoor meet of the season.
The Baylor basketball team isn’t the only Baylor team competing in a championship game this week.
Baylor didn’t bring home the Big 12 Team Indoor Championship title last weekend — the women finished fourth, and the men fifth — but was supported by great individual performances.
Head coach Todd Harbour said he gave his athletes an A- for their performances over the weekend.
Once again, Baylor’s track and field athletes proved they can hold their own on a national stage.
Last weekend, Baylor track headed to College Station in hopes of continuing Baylor’s athletic success.
Baylor’s most outstanding runners from past and present were featured on the home track last weekend at the Michael Johnson Dr Pepper Classic. World-class competitors watched as Baylor athletes and 18 other schools competed at the Hart-Patterson Track and Field Complex.
The track and field squad split into two groups to compete for the second weekend in outdoors fashion. The distance runners headed to Stanford in Palo Alto, Calif., while the rest of the crew took Tempe, Ariz., by storm.
Just six days after its last indoor challenge, the track and field team took its momentum outdoors. The men and women combined to win six events at TCU’s Lowdown Track Complex on Friday.
Concluding the indoor season with a bang, Baylor’s track and field team hit College Station last weekend to compete in the Indoor Championships. The NCAA meet was at the Gilliam Indoor Track Stadium, and nine Baylor field members attended.
Baylor’s squad battled the rest of the conference at the Big 12 Championships on Feb. 25-26 in Lincoln, Neb. Starting the weekend with a victory was sophomore Gavyn Nero, as he led a Baylor comeback to win the men’s distance medley relay title.
The Baylor track and field team ventured back to College Station on Saturday for the A&M Challenge. The Bears joined forces with Texas A&M and Nebraska to take on three teams each from the SEC, Pac-10 and Conference USA for the A&M Conference Challenge.
The track and field earned several medals last weekend at the New Balance Invite at the Armory Track and Field Center in New York.
Coach Todd Harbour’s track and field squad finished on a strong note after participating in the Razorback Invitational this weekend at the Randal Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville, Ark.
After both the men and women’s track teams received Top 25 spots for this week, Baylor prepares to travel to participate in the Razorback Invitational on Jan. 28 and 29 at the University of Arkansas Randal Tyson Track Center.
