The Bryants moved into a house on 11th Street in 1966. Now, the neighborhood looks different. The old houses have been torn down, replaced by student rentals and boxy apartments built fast and cheap. But the Bryants’ home remains.

The Waco Police Department planned neighborhood block parties all across the city last Tuesday night in celebration of National Night Out.

“It is our humble little stand, but it is something that we’re proud of,” DiCamillo said. “It’s fun and it just gives us an opportunity to share with others, neighbors, friends and really anybody that decides to follow along the journey.”

The residents of Mountainview neighborhood in Waco decided to take a unique and heartwarming approach to show holiday festiveness this year by creating a multiple-street Santa village within the neighborhood.
