The Tennessee Titans need help on defense. They decided the best way to get it with the 20th overall pick in Thursday night’s NFL draft was by taking an “electric” offensive playmaker in Baylor wide receiver Kendall Wright.

Baylor football left the Alamadome field victorious on Dec. 30, 2011. The team returned the field Tuesday for the first time since to begin spring practice.

He is one of three players in the history of the FBS with more than 10,000 yards passing and 2,000 yards rushing, graduated both high school and college early, competed in the Olympic Trials at the age of 17, is a finalist for the Manning Award, the Walter Camp Player of the Year Award, the Davey O’Brien National Quarterback Award and the Heisman trophy.

Even Superman can’t do it alone. While most of the credit for the Bears’ stellar offense this season is attributed to Heisman hopeful quarterback Robert Griffin III, and rightfully so, one player stands out as Griffin’s right-hand man when the Bears take the field on offense.

Baylor can reach eight wins for the first time since 1991 with a victory over the Red Raiders, and get to five Big 12 Conference wins for the first time.

In six games this season, junior wide receiver Terrance Williams has already equaled his touchdown total from last season. He has four scores on the year and his 352 receiving yards this season has proved to him to be another weapon for junior quarterback Robert Griffin III and the already explosive Baylor offense.

Saturday’s game against Kansas State should have looked very familiar for Baylor football. There was a late lead lost in the fourth quarter. Junior quarterback Robert Griffin III and senior receiver Kendall Wright were both putting up ridiculous numbers.

The Bears open Big 12 play on the road against a tough Kansas State squad.

After a strong 28-0 start by Baylor made this game look to be a blowout, Rice has reasserted itself with three of the last four scoring drives bringing the score to 35-17.

Lightning stopped the game but not the Bears, as they defeated Stephen F. Austin 48-0 after three quarters.
