After a strong 28-0 start by Baylor made this game look to be a blowout, Rice has reasserted itself with three of the last four scoring drives bringing the score to 35-17.

Baylor looked to add another score before halftime when junior quarterback Robert Griffin III scrambled for 25 yards before fumbling at the 5-yard line.

Griffin has thrown for 248 yards and four touchdowns along with 47 rushing yards. After his third touchdown, Griffin had more touchdown passes on the season than incompletions for a brief period.

Senior receiver Kendall Wright has 108 yards and a touchdown in the first half; the touchdown catch was the 20th of his career, a new Baylor record.

Senior tailback Terrance Ganaway has 72 yards and a touchdown in the half.

Baylor has 21 first downs to Rice’s 10. Baylor has outgained Rice 387 offensive yards to 211.

Sophomore Tevin Elliott forced and recovered a fumble on the kickoff in the first quarter with 0:35 left on the clock.

Baylor has also lost a fumble on a kickoff in second quarter when sophomore Darius Jones coughed it up on the Rice 33.
