Local and regional songwriters stripped it down—sharing the inspiration, heartbreak and humor behind their lyrics in an intimate setting downtown.

The project looks to build up the riverside between Mary and Waco Avenues by constructing parks and public spaces, building a new city hall, adding a sports entertainment district with a ballpark, creating a performing arts district and convention center and significantly improving overall walkability around the city.
Located on 1001 Webster Ave, Webster Market aims to bring both locals and tourists a place to enjoy local shopping close to downtown.
“We really wanted to create a Lunar New Year celebration here in Waco because we want to see more cultural festivals and be able to share more Asian heritage,” Chen said.
Baylor has already made investments in expanding parking options, including the addition of the River Front Garage, which is walking distance from the Pavilion. This garage is expected to provide parking capacity for up to 450 visitors.
A group of Baylor students in an advertising campaign class decided to partner up with AC Hotel by Marriott in downtown Waco to provide an opportunity for student organizations to receive funds while helping a local business. The result is the AC Hotel grant.
“Events like these, like we’ve been doing with Levitt, and the farmer’s market, the whole point is to truly bring [Waco’s] mission to life… which is to bridge communities, to showcase artistry, talent, bring in talent, and then at the same time, create a space where everybody can connect,” Linares said.
Downtown Waco has never seen a Baylor game day like the one on Sunday.
