Recently, the comedian Druski released a skit poking fun at Christian megachurches. Reactions to this skit include a shockingly large number of Christians describing the video as offensive and distasteful. Seeing these reactions, I was reminded of how poorly the modern church takes criticism.

Baylor announced Tuesday evening that comedian John Crist will perform at Waco Hall at 7 p.m. on April 19, bringing jokes and laughter to campus through a comedy show.

Dressed in a black suit coat and a brand-new Baylor shirt purchased at the bookstore earlier in the day, Baylor alumnus Jeff Dunham delivered a personalized homage to his time at the university in his first performance on campus in almost 40 years, Friday night at Foster Pavilion.

The fair is finally back and a famous alumni comedian is swinging through town for a show to remember! Spend your weekend walking the grounds, watching bucking broncos, listening to live country music and riding the carnival rides.

Instead of focusing on why something is “offensive” students should focus more on the experience. Again, it’s not easy to tell jokes, and many times it’s not easy to laugh, but the goal of comedy is to be funny — not to offend.
