Zeta Tau Alpha will host its annual Pie-A-Prez event at 6 p.m. on Thursday, inviting presidents from organizations across Baylor’s campus to participate by getting pied in the face on Fountain Mall. This year, the event aims to raise funds for breast cancer awareness and education, specifically early detection of breast cancer using AI technological advances.

“By the time you are 85 or 90 years old, you will know a lot of women that have had breast cancer, since it happens to one in eight women over the course of a lifetime,” Stern said. “Outside of skin cancer, this statistic makes it the most common cancer for American women.”
It’s October, and that means it’s breast cancer awareness month. Cancer is a horrible disease that scientists will hopefully find a cure for soon, and during breast cancer awareness month, people are called to donate toward research organizations.
Some organizations, however, have turned these pink ribbons into green stacks of cash.
You wouldn’t guess that by purchasing a hot pink, lacy lingerie ensemble that, ahem, glows in the dark, you’d be waging war against breast cancer.
But, in fact, October is the month when fashion and beauty forces rally for this cause, offering a staggering number of products to fight the disease. (For the record, this includes fluorescent undies by Cosabella.)
So, really, buy a little something.
