In front of a home crowd excited for the beginning of the season, the Bears delivered a dominating performance against the traveling South Dakota State Jackrabbits with a 14-3 victory.
The Bears scored 60 second-half points at Foster Pavilion Saturday as the Jayhawks blew a 21-point lead, the largest blown lead in program history.
In the second-ever meeting between the two teams, the green and gold came up short while trying to make up for a 4-1 loss to the Toreros in the 2024 NCAA Tournament. Despite dropping the doubles point, the Bears made a statement and won the first set on all six courts before San Diego staged a comeback.
