According to Chappell, F45 is a place where people work out in a class environment, seeing the same faces every day. Members are able to motivate and work alongside each other, rather than going to a regular gym where they wait in line for equipment without meeting any of the people around them.
“What we can do is educate the people who aren’t on the campus and let them know,” she said. “We have some signage out that lets people know the cats are part of a monitored colony.”
“What I’m trying to do in this role is build a bridge between the people who want to be able to do something because their faith commitments have motivated them to care for our planet, but they need [a] vehicle to drive change,” Beilke said.
“I think we’ve really leaned into some of those things that have always been important to Baylor and we’re really seeing it pay off in the number of applications that we’re getting and… the quality of students that are coming to Baylor,” President Linda Livingstone said.

The Humane Society of Central Texas will give control of its facility and operations to the city of Waco on Oct. 1. The decision was reached after the city of Waco did not renew its contract with the Humane Society.

Rainier, popular with outdoor adventurers, climbs 14,411 feet above the Pacific Ocean. On a clear day it can be seen from Portland to the Canadian border.

Waco drivers are already feeling it. The local average hit $3.38 a gallon last week, up 21 cents in seven days and 75 cents year-over-year, according to AAA data.

The near-total shutdown of the Strait of Hormuz has driven oil prices up more than 40%, pushing the national average to its highest point since 2023 and sending diesel past $5 for the first time in three years.
