Perhaps I should not have wished this change in weather upon us, but at least it’s cooler. If the weather feels too dreary, here are some fun indoor events to fill the next few days.

Sense & Sensibility | Oct. 1-4 | Times vary | Mabee Theatre, Hooper-Schaefer Fine Arts Center | $20 | Head over to Hooper-Schaefer to enjoy this Jane Austen tale of sense, sensibility and sisterhood.

Braxton Keith | Oct. 2 | 7 p.m. | Foster Pavilion | Prices vary | Rising country star Braxton Keith will bring his country beats to Foster Pavilion this Friday. According to his website, Keith was named one of 2026’s “Artists to Watch” by Amazon Music and Rolling Stone, so take this opportunity to watch him.

Young Sherlock | Oct. 2-4 | Times vary | Waco Civic Theatre, 1517 Lake Air Drive | $20 | View this mystery-filled production by the Waco Civic Theatre Fall Academy.

Pumpkin Painting | Oct. 3 | 8-11 p.m. | Barfield Drawing Room, Bill Daniel Student Center | Free to students | For the on-campus student searching for arts and crafts, the Baylor Union Board provides weekly UNight activities. This Saturday, the Union Board has pumpkins and paint to kickoff this spooky season.

Brazos Theatre October Improv Show | Oct. 3 | 7:30-9:30 p.m. | The BackPACC at The Performing Arts Community Center, 924 Austin Ave., Suite 125 | $19.18 General Admission with fees | If you are itching for some improvisation, the PACC has you covered.

Holiday Baking Studio: Pumpkins & Piping Cake Workshop | Oct. 6 | 5:30-7:30 p.m. | Demonstration kitchen at Bledsoe-Miller STEAM Center, 300 N. M.L.K. Jr Blvd. | $20 | With the start of October, fall vibes are finally in the air. Now they can be in your baking as well with this workshop.
