Campaigning for Student Government Elections have begun and candidates have hit the campaign trail.

Tomball junior Alex Plott is gearing up for the election in a few weeks and has gotten his campaign off to an early start.

“My slogan is ‘think progress, think Plott’ and I plan on having a lot of different changes if elected student body president. I have a three-part platform; the first part is ensuring Baylor is the caring and safe community as we know it, the second part is helping students transition from on-campus housing to off-campus housing, and the third part of my platform is revitalizing old traditions and also bringing new traditions.”

During his time at Baylor, Plott has been involved in several organizations on campus like student government and Chamber.

“I think students should vote for me because I’m a great alternative to the other candidate at the moment, I’m not Greek life or anything like that, but I have the experience necessary to accurately represent the student opinion and administration.”

Plott and members of his campaign said they are all excited about the upcoming election.
Students will be able to cast their vote for student body president, as well as other offices, on April 7 and 8.
