    Bears fall to WVU 66-64

    Baylor basketball (13-7, 1-6) fell to the West Virginia Mountaineers (12-9, 4-4) by a score of 66-64 after a basket from West Virginia guard Juwan Staten with 3.1 seconds left. With the loss, the Bears drop to 1-6 in Big 12 play. This was the Bears’ sixth loss in seven games.

    Senior guard Brady Heslip led Baylor with 13 points on four three-point baskets. Sophomore forward Rico Gathers grabbed 12 rebounds and scored eight points. Staten finished with 15 points and nine assists in the win for West Virginia. Junior forward Remi Dibo added 13 points.

    The Bears will travel to Stillwater to play Oklahoma State at 1 p.m. on Saturday afternoon searching for their second conference win.
