Students braved the hot Texas weather to engage with various multicultural organizations at the Mosaic Mixer and Showcase Wednesday afternoon in and around the Student Union Building as part of Mosaic Week with the Department of Multicultural Affairs.

Baylor’s Pi Mu chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha is a two-time Mosaic Mixer Showcase champion, but this year, they’re not out for another trophy. They’re in pursuit of growing their sisterly bond.
The event is a place for students to meet others and connect with cultural organizations on campus — with the added plus of free food, music and a cultural showcase. Throughout Mosaic Week, each ethnic group represented will have a night to put on a welcome fair and show off their campus coalition.
Amid the business and stress of Move2BU and the commencement of classes this new semester, there’s fun to be had downtown and all around. So whether you’re fresh to Baylor or returning, here are some happenings to introduce you (or reintroduce you) to the Waco scene.
Over 90 countries are represented in the Baylor student body. Some of these groups contains hundreds, some dozens and some with a sole student representing their nation.
