Baylor University voluntarily rescinded a controversial grant that supported research focused on inclusion and belonging in the church, with a focus on LGBTQIA+ individuals, President Linda Livingstone announced in a statement Wednesday afternoon.

“Think of a population at risk, a population that’s vulnerable, a population that’s been marginalized — social workers are there,” Singletary said.

Baylor students from all academic disciplines can now minor in poverty studies and social justice, a program housed in the School of Social Work.
