Baylor’s game against No. 10 Oklahoma on Nov. 7 could have easily been a disastrous turn in the season. Baylor lost three of its top offensive weapons in senior running back Glasco Martin, junior running back Lache Seastrunk and senior wide receiver Tevin Reese.

Heading into the OU game, those three players had combined for 1,999 yards and 24 touchdowns, or 39.7 percent of Baylor’s offensive yards and 44.4 percent of Baylor’s offensive touchdowns this season.

Baylor football left the Alamadome field victorious on Dec. 30, 2011. The team returned the field Tuesday for the first time since to begin spring practice.

Baylor’s nonconference schedule will end Saturday with old Southwest Conference rival Rice (1-1).

Following a season filled with injuries and disappointment, Art Briles and the Bears returned for the 2010 season and hoisted Baylor football to a place it had not been in over a decade.

After 15 spring workouts ending with an annual scrimmage, Baylor football turns its attention to next year’s 12 regular season games.
