“Before this year, LASH tended to focus more on diversity within us — Hispanics, ourselves — that was our main focus,” Robles said. “It wasn’t until this year when we added the DEI chair that we were able to start taking a different route.”

With finals fast approaching, Baylor students can plan for a fair amount of studying and hard work in the near future, but they can also anticipate a bit of fun thanks to Alpha Phi’s first-ever Jubilee, a co-sponsored event with Baylor Activities Council.
The fundraiser, held in Fountain Mall, consisted of the sell of items like stickers and popsicles priced at $2. Along with the purchase, the buddies and Bitty and Beau’s — a coffee shop that focuses in employing people with intellectual and developmental disabilities — employees wrote thank you letters for supporting the foundation.
Families and friends gathered Sunday at Hewitt Park for the celebration of Down Syndrome with refreshments, games and bonding of students who fight to be radically included.
