Following the fall of Saigon in 1975, survivors of the Vietnam War immigrated to America in search of a better life. After decades of carving out a home for themselves as refugees, the latest generation of Vietnamese American students hope to continue celebrating their parents’ legacy at Baylor.

“This is a time for family and friends to gather and gaze at the moon together — even if they are miles apart — and then enjoy some delicious moon cakes afterwards,” Lin said.
The Vietnamese Student Association will host its annual Autumn Moon Festival at 7 p.m. Friday in the Barfield Drawing Room located in the Bill Daniel Student Center.
The event is free and open to the public.
Student performances, a lantern lighting, a fashion show and free food will all be part of the festival, and members of the Vietnamese Student Association are excited to show people of the Baylor community the traditions of Vietnamese culture.
