Every Wednesday from March through October, Park Rangers lead free hikes in Cameron Park to help the public explore the trails. Each week, around 40 participants join the rangers to learn more about the park and build community in nature.

The Center of Global Engagement is hosting an International Tailgate for the Saturday football game against Samford. International students will be able to experience an American football tradition by gathering together for food and games before the big game. Students looking to embrace the great outdoors this semester can take advantage of a lineup of activities offered by Outdoor Adventure. From scenic hikes and camping trips to rock climbing and kayaking, the spring schedule promises opportunities for exploration, fitness and fun catering to all skill levels.
The light attraction park is open from 6-10 p.m. every night from Nov. 27 to Dec. 30 and is located right off of I-35 in West. This Christmas attraction allows people to drive their vehicles through a 25-minute seasonal light display. The park also has activities for children, such as a petting zoo, pony rides for children, writing letters to Santa, watching Christmas movies, pictures with real life Santa and more.

Students need to remember that school is the most important thing in college, and sleep should be the next consideration. Once those two priorities are in order, students can consider adding extra activities.
“One in 10 students are registered with OALA. Doing this event with the Student Government can help bring people together and move forward as a student body,” Colihan said. “I really feel like we can use this union to both of our advantages by furthering Student Government, while promoting accessibility for all.”
