The Bears came back from a 14-point deficit in the fourth quarter to win their first Power Four home game of the season. Senior tight end Michael Trigg led the way with eight catches for 155 yards.

With Callie Conrad striking twice, Baylor rolled past Iowa State 3-0 at Betty Lou Mays Field. The Bears’ back line held firm once again, delivering their eighth shutout in 11 matches.

Men's Basketball
The two-time Big South Defensive Player of the Year has led the nation in offensive rebounding percentage and the Big South in blocks.
Head coach Scott Drew and Baylor men’s basketball is on a roll, landing their third transfer in as many days. Following an official visit on Tuesday afternoon, Cincinnati rising senior guard Dan Skillings Jr. announced he committed to the Bears on Instagram.
JJ White is a strong passer and finisher, leading the Summit League with 4.0 assists per game and shooting 53.9% from inside the arc, the highest mark among Omaha’s top six scorers. He’ll likely play a similar off-ball offensive role to Jayden Nunn, but with much stronger playmaking chops. He can navigate both pick-and-roll and set play settings.
Women's Basketball
Behind senior center Aaronette Vonleh’s fifth double-double, No. 4 seed Baylor women’s basketball took down No. 13 seed Grand Canyon in the first round of the NCAA Tournament Friday afternoon at Foster Pavilion.
Whether junior guard Waiata Jennings is sitting on the bench, standing at the scorer’s table, or playing tight defense, “Waiz” (sounds like ‘wise’) has a smile on her face.
In her first season with No. 4 Baylor women’s basketball and her last in college, senior center Aaronette Vonleh stole the show during the weeks leading up to March Madness. With the help of head coach Nicki Collen and her teammates, Vonleh averaged a career-best 14.6 points and 5.6 rebounds per game and will declare for the WNBA Draft following the semester.

Tennis
With the most successful recruiting class in program history, the Bears gear up for the post season with the help of mentorship from the seniors.
The last time third-seeded Baylor men’s tennis hosted the Big 12 Championships was in 2021. It won with a dominant 4-0 sweep over Texas in the final. Hosting again this year, the Bears (21-9, 6-2) will look to repeat their success, facing off against No. 6-seed Arizona State in the quarterfinals at 3 p.m. Friday at the Hurd Tennis Center.
Between two brand new doubles pairings and a quick tally of singles points, No. 23 Baylor saw a successful Senior Day, sweeping No. 40 TCU for the first time since 2022.
Golf
After an underwhelming ending to the 2024 season — placing 14th in the final rounds of the 2023-24 NCAA Championship — Baylor men’s golf has been training hard to rebound in 2025.
Hasegawa said that she loves the coaches in the Baylor program. Since transferring, she has improved her skills and made friendships within the team that allow her to be inspired and competitive at the same time.
After upsetting top-ranked Arizona State Tuesday, Baylor men’s golf closed out Big 12 Match Play with a 4-1 championship loss to BYU on Wednesday at the Clubs at Houston Oaks Country Club in Hockley.

In the 2023 season, Major League Baseball officials added the pitch clock to aid the speed of the game. After the season and now into 2024, I’ve seen that the pitch clock has been very useful and has accelerated the pace of the game.
