Following an executive order signed by the Trump Administration, the NCAA Board of Governors voted to open men’s sports to all eligible student-athletes and restrict the women’s category to only student-athletes assigned female at birth. Tennis
It hasn’t been an easy season for No. 5 seed Baylor men’s tennis, but through the struggles, confidence never wavered. Now the Bears are back to full strength, and feel ready to make a run in the Big 12 Tournament.
The Bears will open postseason play against No. 10 seed Kansas State University at 10 a.m. on Thursday at the Jayhawk Tennis Center in Lawrence, Kan.

Golf
Baylor men’s golf finished in eighth place at the Maridoe Collegiate Invitational, led by junior Johnny Keefer who placed fifth as an individual.
Baylor women’s golf competed with one of the more experienced teams and fought their way to second place in the Cougar Classic.
Baylor women’s golf sophomore Rosie Belsham won two tournaments in Europe this summer as she went home to spend time with her family and compete for the England National Team.

In the 2023 season, Major League Baseball officials added the pitch clock to aid the speed of the game. After the season and now into 2024, I’ve seen that the pitch clock has been very useful and has accelerated the pace of the game.
